Profile, Abilities and Weaknesses description is from The Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye, comic series published by Dreamwave Comics in 2003.

BIO
Carnivac can always be found with a smile on his face, even in the midst of battle. His outward cheer often catches opponents off-guard. He can be in the middle of a jovial conversation, grinning widely, and then tear out someone's fuel pump, still smiling. Carnivac has no ability to distinguish appropriate from inappropriate behavior. He just acts with reckless, violent abandon. His comrades suspect that vital cerebro-circuitry may have been damaged long ago, turning this once noble warrior into the Decepticon he is today. Carnivac doesn't care, he's happy just the way he is.

WEAPONS/ABILITIES
Subject's Pretender shell is equipped with hydraulics that allow it to jump 50 feet in any direction from almost any position.  Shell has laser eye-beams capable of vaporizing an opponent.  Subject wields an anti-thermal cannon with infrared targeting that slows down its targets molecular activity, effectively freezing them.

WEAKNESSES
For all his aggressive behavior, Subject is not exceptionally strong.  If someone survives his initial attack, he can be beaten.

Bibliography of significant appearances:
* Transformers (Marvel) #51 - The introduction and virtually only appearance made in the Marvel US comic series.
* Carnivac makes a few brief appearances in the third (unfinished) War Within series, "The Age of Wrath."  Interestingly, he is shown in beast mode, adding credibility to the (Beast Wars fans) theory that beast modes existed on Cybertron even before arrival on Earth...
